DESCRIPTION
A vacancy has arisen within the assembly department for a Mechanical Assembly Supervisor. This role will lead the mechanical assembly department in order to meet the production schedule delivery and quality standards. The successful Supervisor will be responsible for the following:

To supervise the mechanical assembly department ensuring due date deliveries are achieved.
To ensure the quality standards are met on all products, processes and procedures.
To be the primary point of contact for all mechanical assembly production problems and assembly enquiries.
To ensure all the members of the team are aware of completion dates for products, relevant departmental procedures, build quality standards, safe working practice and general housekeeping.
To communicate effectively with your team, line manager, test, paint shop, electrical assembly, buying and stores to ensure deliveries and standards are achieved.
To offer temporary cover for the electrical assembly supervisor when they are away from the company.
To work to ISO9001 procedures.
To maintain safe and tidy work area.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential

Proven track record with relevant experience as a supervisor
Ability to use MRP/Excel
Good communication/people skills
Excellent organisational skills
Desirable
