Estimating and Planning Engineer
Concept Resources are currently recruiting for an Estimating and Planning Engineer who will be responsible for estimating and providing quotation to customers and writing manufacturing instructions for production. This is to ensure smooth manufacture of new and existing parts along with ensuring our client produce high quality products.
As the Estimating and Planning Engineer, you will:
o Provide estimates on new enquiries.
o Liaise with customers to discuss enquiries.
o Follow up on quotations to ensure order conversion.
o Write technical Manufacturing Instructions(Method)
o Allocate set and run times to Method
o Advise purchasing department of tooling required
o Estimate run times by making the necessary calculations based on material and cutting data.
o Make Method amendments when necessary.
o Have experience in all types of machining techniques ranging from manual to CNC machining
o Contact customers with any drawing queries
o Use MRP system on a daily basis.
o Work alongside the managing director
Location: Gloucester, Easy access from M5
Salary: £14-£17 Per Hour (Neg DOE)
25 days holiday + bank holidays
39 hour working week (7.30am - 4.00pm Mon-Thurs, 7.30am - 3.00pm Fri)
Qualifications: Time served apprentice at level 3 or OND or above
Useful experience & knowledge
o Working within Sub-con machine shop.
o Problem solving and innovation.
o Hands on approach.
o Willingness to help the team to achieve good efficiencies.
o Excellent verbal & written communication skills with all levels of the business (both internally and externally).
o Ability to work unsupervised and part of a team.
o Work proactively.
o Extensive experience in manufacturing.
o Good knowledge of MRP systems.
o Familiar with ISO9001 and/or AS9001
